I have been at Westwood Farm Pre-School since March 2007, I qualified in December 2009 with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare Learning & Development, and in June 2013 completed a Level 3 Award in Leadership & Management. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies.

I am married and have 2 daughters one is at university and the other is a primary school teacher.

I am first aid trained.

I am the first designated safeguarding person

Mrs Beisly - Deputy Manager/SENCo

I have been at Westwood Farm Pre-School since January 2011, and have been qualified since July 2003 with a DCE in Childcare (Diploma in Childcare & Education).

I have a daughter and a son who both attended Westwood Farm Pre-School and are now both at secondary school.

I am the Health and Safety representative at Pre-School.

I am first aid trained.

Mrs Layfield - Administrator

I have worked at the Pre-School since January 2014, I qualified in the September in CPW Level 3 and a Level 4 in Early Childhood Studies. I took over as administrator in June 2019.

I am married with 4 children, 2 who are grown up and 2 at Theale Green School.

I am first aid trained.

Mrs Curtis

I have worked here since April 2011 and lived in Tilehurst all my life and have 3 grown up children and 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter

I worked in a day nursery for 5 years before joining the pre-school in 2011. I qualified in 2014.

I am first aid trained.

Mrs Hunsdon

I started working at Westwood farm Pre-School in September 2018 as a lunchtime assistant. I qualified in March 2020 with an NVQ Level 3 in childcare. I have 2 daughters, one has who is at Reading University doing a teaching degree and my youngest attends Westwood Farm Junior School.

I am first aid trained.

Mrs Mandrell

I have worked at Westwood Farm Pre-School since 2005 and I passed my CYPW Level 3 in August 2014.

I now only work lunch clubs and cover staff when needed.

I am married with 3 grown up children who all attended Westwood Farm Pre-School.

I also have 5 grandsons, who I look after and they certainly keep me busy.

I am first aid trained.

Mrs Nay

I have worked here since February 2023 and have a Level 3 Diploma in Children's Learning and Development. I live locally, I'm married and have two children one attends a local primary school and the other a local secondary school. I enjoy spending time with my family and I like to go to the gym in my spare time.

I have worked in childcare settings for 6 years, I've worked as cover staff, key worker and am now currently lunch club assistant here at Westwood Farm Pre-School. My daughter attends the pre-school too and we have happily been here since Sept 2024.

I started here in January 2026 I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. Having lived in different countries, I bring strong cultural awareness and an inclusive, caring approach to my work. I speak English, Arabic and French, which supports communication with children and families from diverse backgrounds. As a local parent to a primary school aged child I have a strong understanding of children's development, well being and supporting children in partnership with families.
